After the amazing meetups this year in June and July, the plan is to have a "meetup of the clans" in 2012. Most likely July in Seattle WA.

Anyone here is welcome to join us, and it WILL be an awesome experience. If you are interested simply post your % chance of attending here...and sign up for the newsletter at [email protected]

(nothing is for sure, and some things WILL change)
Date: sometime in July 2012
How Long: friday-monday???
What's going on: Avatar Exhibit at the SFM, Group Viewings of the Movie, Clan meals, day hike, explore Seattle...
Extras: Backpacking Trip (possibly camping trip instead) would be Tuesday-Wednesday??

Anyway, that is just an idea of what could happen, things are too far away to start planning too much. However we have started a list going of people that are interested in going. This will help us to determine the amount of people and planning and such...

we are expecting 35+ people to be "signed-on" in the next month

We should have a date and some specifics here in a few weeks. I'll start to post information here now as well since there is some interest.

Are you guys renting out a movie theater and watching Avatar in 3D? That would totally be awesome.

You bet we are. maybe not 3D, but we ARE renting out a theater. It would be awesome if you could join us. I'll put you down as interested.

Also every forum get's its "representative" at the meetup/convention. This person would also be "semi" on the planning committee. However since no one here is going at 50% or higher there is not a need yet.

Glad to hear your 2011 meetups were successful and that you're planning one for 2012.

So here's a question...are there any big gatherings of Avatar fans at Comic-Con(San Diego) or DragonCon(Atlanta)???
